Talk to a long lost firend...

This was by far the best one.   While I feel good that I checked another one off my list it’s even better to know that my friend Michael is doing well.  He has a new born and I am sure he is a wonderful daddy.  This friend and I stopped communicating in college.  It was my fault.  I was dating a guy who was very intimidated by my friendship with him and to save a relationship that ultimately end, not by my choosing.  My best friend Melissa’s mom has a cross stitch in her dinner room that reads, “Make new friends but keep the old.  One is silver the other is Gold.”  Its ashamed I learned that lesson a little too late, however, I am so thankful for the open communication that I have been blessed with today.

Cook A Real Meal In My Apartment. 8/9/2010

It was so good!!! I am going to call it Tuscan Chicken Al Denta
1 grilled zucchini with garlic salt and pepper
Marinade chicken in a Tuscan sundried tomato marinade
1 serving of wheat pasta
1/4 cup feta cheese
5 cheery tomatoes sliced
Then take 2 slices of bread and add any seasoning and butter, then toast in the oven.

I am on my way to being Paula Dean, who from this post forward I will refer to as PD. =)

Sale my Art work-not sure of the date just got a check in the mail

There is an art gallery in my home town that asked for some of my photographs. There is an amazing amount of talented people in the area of southern Indiana where I come from. It was a shock that I was even asked for 4 pieces. Just a few weeks ago I receive a check in the mail that had sold my first piece. 3 down 27 more to go.

Obtain nice cookware- 7/24/2010

While shopping for kitchen stuff with my mom, and let me tell you shopping with my mother has always been fun. She doesn’t shop much but when she does, boy dose she shop. Dad laughs and reminds her “money doesn’t grow on trees.” She surprised me and asked me if I would let her and my dad buy me the set I wanted for my 30th birthday. So for an early gift I got the Paula Dean entire set. I really wanted this set. I believe it has magic powers that will turn me into a southern woman who can cook. I have been practicing my southern accent. Which for me isn’t too hard I lived in Mississippi till I was 12. It’s red with dark read spackles the cookware not my accent. Now if I could only get the husband and sons to cook for like Miss Paula. Heck who am I kidding; I would just love one of her sons, the unmarried one of course.

The Concept

I like many graduates from the class of 1999 or turning 30 this year. At the time I started my list of 30 things to do before I turn 30 I had six months to finish. I know have three. Turning 30 has been a hard concept for me to grasp. In fact, if I am being honest with myself, it’s something that frightens me greatly. I once heard it said “Do something every day that scares you.” Well here goes nothing. ..

I along with my best friend, soul sister, confidant and constant, have compiled a list of 30 things to do before 30. Some scare me, others excite me and still others, should have happened 10 years ago. Some will make me laugh, some m cause crying, and others even pain. But on December 17th all will cause a since of accomplishment that will help usher me from one chapter of my life into another.
